There are many articles and advice columns on how to be more organized. But what about those of us that are already organized? We have problems too!
Being disorganized can take up as much as 20% of your time. It only stands to reason then that organized people have more time than everyone else. Listed below are some humorous problems for the extremely organized people in our lives.
- They can never, ever leave items in boxes, wrappings, etc. The minute something comes home it has to be unpacked and put it in its proper place. Depending on the items bought, this can become a time consuming project.
- On vacation there is never a need to run to the local store because something was forgotten. Exploring local stores, especially in different countries, can be a lot of fun. Sure, it can still be done…there's just not an excuse to do it!
- An organized person's desk at work is so clean that if they are out sick for one day, everyone thinks they were fired.
- They can never use the excuse that they forgot their best friend’s birthday or that they supposed to pick up a prescription at the drug store but forgot. Everyone knows better!
- Their car is never too cluttered to drive the carpool.
- Friends keep calling them Monica.
- The sheets and pillowcases all match. Never can a blue sheet be put on the bed with a brown pillowcase.
- They've never had to call and said that they're running late for an appointment.
- Organizing the pantry alphabetically takes a lot more time than just putting the cans on a shelf.
- Everything is always numbered, including problems!
- Every time they buy a new outfit, a new hanger has to accompany it. They wouldn’t dare not to have the same color and size hanger for all of their clothes.
- They spend way to much on their monthly visits to the Container Store.
- Their boss knows exactly what they are working on (or not working on!) as their daily status report is very detailed. Never can they get away with slacking off.
- They get really excited when their very unorganized sister wants them to come visit to organize her closets!
- Their husband always hands you them the car keys because he knows they'll never be lost that way. Thus, they are dubbed the holding person for not only car keys but wallets, sunglasses, etc., and their very organized purse is soon crammed full of other stuff.
- They had to run their car out of gas on their own, just once, to see what it was like.
- There is a flow chart for cleaning their house!
- They've never misplaced a cherished photo or letter and had the joy of rediscovering it.
- Eclectic furniture is not an option.
- There had to be exactly twenty problems with being already being organized.
