Free printable planners are readily available and the perfect way to customize an agenda book. Try these excellent resources.

With the hectic lives most people lead, a planner is becoming essential. There are nearly limitless ways to arrange schedules and categorize important info. Finding just the right forms to fit a lifestyle is half the fun. Here are a couple of places to help guide planners.

Donna Young

A unique organization, Donna Young has been around offering help for many years. It offers numerous household forms in various sizes, clean calendars from monthly to yearly, and even a wide variety of homeschool forms. Most of the files are available in Word or PDF format, making them easily accessible. What’s amazing on Donna Young is the uniqueness of some of the forms. Things like comic strip layouts and time line forms can rev up motivation and learning.

The forms and practicality on this site are top rate, and the creator, Donna Young, is quite qualified. She’s had well over 10 years experience in the homeschooling field, a role that demands excellent organizational skills. This is a site definitely worth stopping by.

DIY Planner

For each file, the author gives advice on using it, the format (mostly PDF, Excel, and Word), and its size. There’s a forum onsite that seems highly beneficial and active. As a bonus, they have an image gallery that anyone can print to use as a planner cover. This non-profit site is full of inspiration and how-tos. DIY Planner explains, “The rules are simple: be nice, try to help each other, and don't be afraid of sharing your advice, no matter how wacky or unorthodox it may be. After all, inspiration may lurk in the least obvious places, even for something as seemingly mundane as time management.”

From monthly agendas to itemized shopping lists, there are lots of free helps in filling an organizer. Structure and planning are key to success. And with a plethora of free planning tools, it’s easy to get stared.

If ever there were a haven for planners, DIY Planner would be it. The topics on this site include: diet, humor, psychology, time management, writing tools, scrapbooking, and many other categories. This is a site where the content is submitted by the members, hence it’s wide range of topics and tastes. For example, under the “Financial” section, there are two pages worth of available forms, from expense trackers to mind maps. Under the “Creativity” section, there are twenty pages of downloads that cover a huge number of subjects, comprising of a photography reference sheets, decorated journals, knitting project manager sheets, and many other items.
