Closet storage can become cluttered and difficult to use with passing time. Closet organizers help to make them useful again.

Whether looking to maximize the space in a walk-in closet, or trying to make sense of a children’s bedroom closet, closet systems and organizers can quickly bring order to messy closets, and make the most of any space. Simple closet systems and custom closet designs are available for closets and budgets of all sizes.

Types of Closet Systems Available

There are many different styles of closet organizers and systems available on the market today. The majority of these can be grouped into two different categories. The first is the modular variety. Homeowners are able to purchase the shelves, drawers and hanging systems needed, and install these themselves. Various accessories and components can be purchased and added on at any time, giving flexibility to the space.

These types of systems work well for children’s bedroom closets and other spaces where the needs of the closet and its user may change from time to time. By rearranging the various components in a modular system, entirely new closets designs can be created. Modular systems can be purchased at home organization and home improvement stores, or ordered from specialty outlets.

The second type of closet system is the custom closet. In this case, a closet designer will visit the home, take measurements, look at the needs of the space, as well as the needs of the user and create a closet system to fit both. This style works well for large, walk-in style closets, to help make the most of all areas of the space. Custom closets will also work well for multi-use closets, game rooms and kitchen pantries. This option is more permanent, as well as more complete; arriving and being installed with all components intact.

Both types of closet systems can double the storage area of a closet in even the smallest space. Homeowners trying to decide between the two systems should take the use of the closet into consideration, as well as expense.

Designs and Components Available

Both types of closet systems offer multiple designs and components to transform closets into well ordered rooms and spaces. Shelving and hanging systems are among the most basic of closet components. Hanging shelves at various heights can make the most of a child’s closet, putting everyday things in reach of the child, while upper areas are reserved for storage, games and toys.

Drawers and cabinets are available in multiple styles, finishes and colors. These cabinets are typically mounted to the wall of the closet, creating a built in bureau for sweaters and other long term storage items. Drawer handles and hinges are available in multiple finishes and designs as well, allowing for personalization of the cabinets.

Cubbies and shelves designed for shoes can help make room at the bottom of the closet for additional storage, or help move things directly into reach for those who may find it difficult to retrieve things from the floor.

Closet systems are available in wire and metal, as well as wood and MDF. This allows for both greater customization for the homeowner, as well as a variety of price points. Shelving systems made of wire might work well for game rooms, while hardwood cabinets and shelves would create an elegant master bedroom closet.

All of these systems are available for either walk-in or reach-in closets, making it easier than every to gain organization and storage in any size space.

Closet organizers can help any homeowner to become more organized, maximize their home’s storage potential and personalize their home. Visit a custom closet showroom, or a home organization center, to begin viewing the possibilities and creating a useful new storage area today.

Thanks for the good information. I have purchased a hanging closer organizer the other day from http://www.easyclosetorganizer.com and it seems that they have adjustable brackets so I can lower the height of the entire product for my kids.

Hi. I am new here. And I want to share my thought about this matter.
Thanks to the informations above. It really helped me. Actually, there are a lot of things to make your closet spacious and very neat, right? Sometimes, we just need some help from our friends or from professionals.
